Life Update

Oh Hey, I'm Lisa. Remember me?

I'll forgive you if you don't, I've had a bit of time off. Mostly down to a few life changes, meaning I no longer had the luxury of borrowing a laptop to write on and a DSLR to shoot pictures with. But, I've saved up my little pennies (I know it's taken a while, they really are little pennies), and got myself a brand spanking new laptop! I haven't yet made it to a camera, but I have a little point and shoot which I can make do with for now.

I'm so excited to get back on the blogging train, I have a completely different outlook now. I'm going to put less pressure on myself, buy less crap for the sake of it, blog about what I want and enjoy myself.

At some point throughout the year, I felt immense pressure to always have new products (and copious amounts of them) to post and talk about. I felt like I couldn't have any form of content appear without pushing some item or another. It was such an unhealthy attitude, for the environment and for my purse. I think that's when my love for blogging disappeared. I was so intrigued by the other aspects surrounding a vegan lifestyle, yet it seemed that my most popular posts were beauty and I felt so pressured by the content I was seeing online, to keep up with that.

The problem is that, as a person, I'm so interested in so many different things. The more I have learned about Veganism, the more I've been inspired to adapt my lifestyle in so many ways, for example, I have such a desire to become closer to zero-waste and consider my environmental impact,  as well as learning more about the medicinal properties of food. I want to be able to blog about that too, not just what I feel pressured to show.

I also consume so much more YouTube and Instagram Stories, than blogs, and I'm really interested in delving into those platforms too. I have a few trips planned for next year, so I think I'll film a little during them and see what happens! I just want to have my finger in all of the pies, ok? I mean literally, I have a full-time job and will be starting a diploma for that, as well as starting a volunteer role in the new year, alongside trying to get this blog on the road again. To be fair, I'm happiest when I'm busiest so I should thrive and it'll all be amazing and wonderful and I won't get snowed under at all... right?

Now I just have to figure out how to use this laptop properly so I can get redesigning my blog (let's face it that will take another 236 months to happen) and create some beautiful content!
