Shopping Cruelty Free at the Drugstore

Recently when browsing online, I've discovered that the most prominent excise for not going cruelty free is the price and availability of products. So I thought I'd help a sister out, and give you no more excuses! Here are handy little graphics to understand which brands are cruelty free in which drugstores.

Superdug is always a safe bet when it comes to cruelty free.

Their own brand products are cheap and never tested on animals. They all come with a handy leaping bunny logo, just to be sure. If you're ever in need of toothpaste or deodorant and don't have chance to research the best cruelty free options - Superdrug own brand will never let you down.

You really are spoilt for choice in Superdrug, but they do still sell quite a few brands that do test on animals so do be careful!

The Balm is probably the most high end/ pricey cruelty free brand in Superdrug, I've heard amazing things about their eye palettes though!

Cruelty free shopping in boots is mostly counter based with bare minerals, NYX and Smashbox being big brands with amazing cruelty free products.

It's is also great for skincare, with Yes To and Soap and Glory being cruelty free!

I do find, unless you know exatly what you're going for, shopping in Boots can be a little more time consuming but hopefully this list should help!

Cruelty free doesn't mean missing out, cult faves NYX matte lip creams and Soap & Glory body butter is still a go - you just might have to look more carefully at other brands!

I hope these are useful to those of you who are thinking about making the switch to cruelty free! Company policies are ever changing and some even pull out of Chinese markets in the name of cruelty free beauty, so be sure to do a bit of Googling before each shop to make sure you get the best!

** UPDATE: Zoella sells to China so isn't cruelty free :(

Here are some of my cruelty free faves from the above brands
